Exploring Computer Science

This class has been developed under the auspices of UCLA
and introduces students to fundamental computer skills designed in the following units:

  • Human Computer Interaction
  • Problem Solving
  • Web Design
  • Programming
  • Computing and Data Analysis
  • Robotics

Game Programming and Design

A course in it's inaugural year that focuses on
all aspects of programming and starts the students on
an in-depth exploration of HTML, CSS, JavaScript with
a focus on game logic. Students learn 2D gaming constructs, collision logic, dynamic HTML and are introduced to PHP
as they games like Hangman, Tic-Tac-Toe and Monopoly
Students also focus on a Community Service Project that is presented in web format.

Amazon Web Services (New District Approved Curriculum and a Captstone Class) Jointly Developed by CTE ROP Teachers, CTE Academic Teachers, and Santa Monica College

Introduction to Amazon Web Services

An introductory course allowing students to create
content in the Amazon Cloud. This will be the capstone class to the ICT pathway being offered at Elizabeth Learning Center.

Students will receive college credit for the successful completion of this course, which will put them on their way
toward mastering IT skills that will enable them start on a career.
